How MagnaTrack Works
Our patented MagnaTrack system is a unique self-tensioning design that utilizes opposing polarity dual magnetic pull from Neodymium magnets interlocked into the track housing as well as the adjustable track insert for a constant secure hold.
Self-Tensioning Magnetic Track
The screen expands under wind pressure, separating the magnets. When pressure subsides, the magnetic pull tensions the screen back — allowing for expansion and contraction without jamming like fixed track systems.

MagnaTrack is a motorized outdoor screen system made by Progressive Screens in Sarasota, Florida. Its patented side tracks use opposing neodymium magnets and a Keder interlock rather than a zipper. When wind presses on the screen, the fabric can pull away from the magnets, then the magnets draw it back into place.
How is MagnaTrack different from zipper-track screens?
Zipper and fixed-track screens lock the fabric edge into a rigid channel, so a hard push can jam or tear it. MagnaTrack's magnetic track lets the edge flex and re-seat itself. Progressive Screens says this eliminates about 98% of the service issues common to fixed-track and zipper systems.
