What are woven wood shades made from?

Accepted Answer

Sombra's Orithyia and Hestia collections use bamboo, jute, jute+bamboo blends, jute+linen blends, kenaf, and ramie. Each material offers a distinct texture — from the warm honey tones of bamboo to the crisp, silky finish of ramie.

Question 3

Are woven wood shades good for privacy?

Woven wood shades provide partial privacy during the day due to their open weave. For full privacy, they are paired with a fabric liner or room-darkening liner. Boise Blinds offers liner options for all Sombra woven wood shades.

Question 4

Can woven wood shades be motorized?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Sombra woven wood shades are available with motor options selected for your project. Every motorized shade includes remote control. Smart-home compatibility depends on the selected motor and any required hub or bridge, so Boise Blinds reviews your desired setup before ordering.

Question 5

Accepted Answer

Manual woven wood shades typically start around $200–$335 per window. Motorized versions run higher. Boise Blinds provides a detailed quote after your free in-home consultation.
