Exterior Patio Shades in Star, Idaho
Premium Motorized Exterior Shades for Star's Outdoor Living Spaces
Star, Idaho's newer developments feature some of the Treasure Valley's most spacious outdoor living areas — and they deserve shade solutions built for Idaho's climate. MagnaTrack's patented rare earth magnet system blocks 97% of UV radiation, handles 75 MPH winds, and integrates with your smart home. Boise Blinds is Star's authorized MagnaTrack and SunPro dealer.
Exterior Shades Built for Star's Growing Community
Star is one of the fastest-growing communities in the Treasure Valley, with new subdivisions featuring large lots, spacious patios, and outdoor kitchens that are built for entertaining. These homes are designed for outdoor living — but Idaho's summer sun and afternoon winds can make unshaded patios uncomfortable from early afternoon through early evening.
Star's location along the Boise River corridor means afternoon wind gusts are common, particularly during the summer months. MagnaTrack's rare earth magnet track system holds the shade fabric securely at 75 MPH, making it the most reliable exterior shade option for Star homeowners who want a system that performs in real conditions — not just controlled demos.
For Star's newer luxury builds, MagnaTrack's motorized system integrates with Alexa, Google Home, Lutron, and Control4. Whether you want to control your shades with a button, your voice, or a scheduled automation, the system adapts to how you live.

The World's Only Rare Earth Magnet Exterior Shade
MagnaTrack holds multiple patents on technology that no other exterior shade manufacturer has. Here's what makes it different.
Patented Rare Earth Magnets
MagnaTrack is the only exterior shade in the world that uses rare earth neodymium magnets to hold the fabric in its track. No zipper, no Velcro — just magnetic force that self-corrects every time.
75 MPH Wind Rated
Engineered and tested to withstand 75 MPH sustained winds. The Keder system keeps fabric locked in the track even during Idaho's strongest gusts — no billowing, no damage.
97% UV Protection
MagnaTrack's high-density screen fabric blocks 97% of UV radiation, dramatically reducing heat gain and protecting patio furniture, flooring, and skin.
Self-Correcting Design
If the fabric ever shifts, the magnetic track guides it back into alignment automatically. This is the feature that eliminates the service calls that plague other exterior shade systems.
Smart Home Ready
Motorized MagnaTrack shades integrate with Alexa, Google Home, Apple HomeKit, and most major smart home platforms. Set schedules, create scenes, or control from anywhere.
Insect & Privacy Barrier
When deployed, MagnaTrack creates a sealed perimeter around your patio — keeping mosquitoes, wasps, and other insects out while maintaining airflow and views.
