Pool Patio & Outdoor Kitchen Shades in Boise, Idaho
Motorized Exterior Screens for Boise's Outdoor Living Spaces
Pool patios and outdoor kitchens are significant investments — protect them and make them usable year-round with motorized exterior screens. MagnaTrack blocks 97% of UV radiation, keeps insects out, and creates privacy on demand. Boise Blinds serves Boise, Eagle, Meridian, Star, Nampa, and Caldwell.
Why Pool Patios and Outdoor Kitchens Need Motorized Screens
Pool patios and outdoor kitchens are among the most-used outdoor spaces in Treasure Valley homes — and they face the most demanding conditions. Pool areas deal with direct sun exposure, reflected heat from the water surface, and the constant presence of insects. Outdoor kitchens face grease, smoke, and the need for privacy from neighbors. Standard shade solutions — umbrellas, fixed pergola covers, or basic patio shades — address one problem at a time. MagnaTrack motorized screens address all of them simultaneously.
For pool patios, MagnaTrack screens create a shaded, insect-free environment that makes the pool area comfortable from mid-morning through early evening. The 97% UV-blocking fabric dramatically reduces the heat load on the pool deck surface, which can reach 130°F or more on a Boise summer afternoon. Retract the screens when you want full sun exposure, and deploy them when you need shade and privacy.
For outdoor kitchens, motorized screens create a semi-enclosed cooking and dining environment that stays comfortable even when the afternoon sun is at its most intense. The screens also provide privacy from neighboring properties — particularly important for Treasure Valley homes with close lot spacing. When entertaining, you can deploy the screens to create an intimate outdoor dining room that feels separate from the rest of the yard.

The World's Only Rare Earth Magnet Exterior Shade
MagnaTrack holds multiple patents on technology that no other exterior shade manufacturer has. Here's what makes it different.
Patented Rare Earth Magnets
MagnaTrack is the only exterior shade in the world that uses rare earth neodymium magnets to hold the fabric in its track. No zipper, no Velcro — just magnetic force that self-corrects every time.
75 MPH Wind Rated
Engineered and tested to withstand 75 MPH sustained winds. The Keder system keeps fabric locked in the track even during Idaho's strongest gusts — no billowing, no damage.
97% UV Protection
MagnaTrack's high-density screen fabric blocks 97% of UV radiation, dramatically reducing heat gain and protecting patio furniture, flooring, and skin.
Self-Correcting Design
If the fabric ever shifts, the magnetic track guides it back into alignment automatically. This is the feature that eliminates the service calls that plague other exterior shade systems.
Smart Home Ready
Motorized MagnaTrack shades integrate with Alexa, Google Home, Apple HomeKit, and most major smart home platforms. Set schedules, create scenes, or control from anywhere.
Insect & Privacy Barrier
When deployed, MagnaTrack creates a sealed perimeter around your patio — keeping mosquitoes, wasps, and other insects out while maintaining airflow and views.
