MagnaTrack Screens & Motorized Exterior Shades in Meridian, Idaho
Idaho's fastest-growing city deserves the most advanced exterior shade technology. Patented magnetic track. 75 MPH wind rated. 97% UV protection. Smart home ready.
Boise Blinds is the authorized MagnaTrack dealer serving Meridian, Idaho. We install MagnaTrack motorized exterior shade systems throughout Meridian's largest communities including Paramount, Bridgetower, and Tuscany. As Idaho's #1 MagnaTrack dealer, we bring factory-trained installation expertise to every Meridian project.
Why Meridian Homeowners Choose MagnaTrack
Meridian is Idaho's fastest-growing city with high volumes of new construction featuring large outdoor kitchens and covered patios. These homes are built for outdoor living — and they need an exterior shade system that matches the quality of the build. MagnaTrack is consistently the top choice for Meridian's new construction market.
Meridian's open valley terrain creates consistent afternoon wind and intense summer sun. West-facing patios are particularly challenging — afternoon sun from the southwest hits hard from about 2 PM through sunset, making unshaded patios unusable during the hottest part of the day. MagnaTrack blocks 97% of UV radiation and reduces patio surface temperatures by up to 30°F.
MagnaTrack is rated for 75 MPH winds — far beyond what Meridian typically experiences. The patented neodymium magnet system holds the fabric securely in its track and self-corrects automatically if the fabric is dislodged, eliminating the jams and service calls that plague zipper-based and cable-guided systems. MagnaTrack owners report 98% fewer service calls than owners of competing systems.
Meridian's newer developments — Paramount, Lochsa Falls, Spurwing Greens, and the communities along Ten Mile Road — are built with smart home infrastructure already in place. MagnaTrack integrates directly with Lutron, Control4, Savant, Alexa, Google Home, and Apple HomeKit, making it a seamless addition rather than an afterthought.

The World's Only Rare Earth Magnet Exterior Shade
MagnaTrack holds multiple patents on technology that no other exterior shade manufacturer has. Here's what makes it different.
Patented Rare Earth Magnets
MagnaTrack is the only exterior shade in the world that uses rare earth neodymium magnets to hold the fabric in its track. No zipper, no Velcro — just magnetic force that self-corrects every time.
75 MPH Wind Rated
Engineered and tested to withstand 75 MPH sustained winds. The Keder system keeps fabric locked in the track even during Idaho's strongest gusts — no billowing, no damage.
97% UV Protection
MagnaTrack's high-density screen fabric blocks 97% of UV radiation, dramatically reducing heat gain and protecting patio furniture, flooring, and skin.
Self-Correcting Design
If the fabric ever shifts, the magnetic track guides it back into alignment automatically. This is the feature that eliminates the service calls that plague other exterior shade systems.
Smart Home Ready
Motorized MagnaTrack shades integrate with Alexa, Google Home, Apple HomeKit, and most major smart home platforms. Set schedules, create scenes, or control from anywhere.
Insect & Privacy Barrier
When deployed, MagnaTrack creates a sealed perimeter around your patio — keeping mosquitoes, wasps, and other insects out while maintaining airflow and views.
